Salary 400 euros, 600 euros costs

According to the latest data of the Statistics Agency of Kosovo , the net salary of the employees most Kosovars is 300 to 400 euros per month . But , how much is real and how much is it worth enough for workers and their families , employees and representatives of businesses , give different estimates .
Yes , according to the report , the number of employees at the country level reaches over 300 thousand people , while the unemployment rate to 30.9 percent , reports Radio Free Europe .

In public administration reportedly working about 80 thousand people , but no official statistics about the number of employees in the private sector , a sector which, according to unions , the salary is very low , and no amount of salary results presented by KSA .

Alush Sejdiu , vice president of the Union of Independent Trade Unions , told Radio Free Europe that wages in this sector starts from 150 to 200 euros .

BSPK no statistics how many employees the sector counts , but Sejdiu says that number is up to three times greater than in the public sector .

Despite this , the salary submitted by KSA but real wages that workers receive in the private sector , according to Sejdiu , not enough for the basic needs of workers .

" We think that these raise the salaries of some people who receive large salaries and those who have two or three jobs, and over 2,000 euros salary " .

" This increases the average , but still not enough . Workers , with the personal income can not cover basic consumption for their families , the families are in Kosovo to 6 members , "said Sejdiu .

The minimum wage in Kosovo is 130 to 170 euros per month , while the average in the public sector amounts to 372 euros .

Meanwhile , the private sector , according to a survey conducted by the Kosovo Business Alliance , said that the average salary is 328 euros .

KBA leader Lt. Shahin , states that salary in Kosovo is estimated to be the lowest in the region .

" However , this salary compared to the region , is lower . This is not a salary that satisfies the requirements of family , for family consumption basket goes up to 600 euros monthly . "

" This needs to invest more in the private sector to increase the standard and increase wages in order to satisfy the basic requirements for a decent living for a family of 5 members ," Shahin estimates .

While wages in Kosovo said that starting from 150 to 400 euros per month , the people who work in the public sector and in the private sector say this amount is insufficient for a family .

According to a survey conducted by the Statistical Office of Kosovo , in 2011 , households spend a month on average 584 euros , while total consumption to households is 7010 euros per year .

Lumnije Beqiri , the thirties , works in a shop in Pristina . She says nervously takes 180 euros per month salary .

"Overall , I am satisfied , the salary is very low, prices are high . I do not know how I survive ? " Shows Lumnije .

In the education system works Bahri Rexhepi , who says the wages he receives, not even enough for half a month .

"Wages are low . For a four -member family , this makes two weeks salary . Prices for groceries are too high . When considering the utilities, wages in the country should be very high , "says Bahri .

Representatives of the workers and the business community require competent authorities to assist the private sector , so that this sector to increase wages for workers .
