Ministry of Agriculture , Forestry and Rural Development and the twinning project with the EU were awarded the Prize for European Projects for preparation of IPA 2013 Programme for Agriculture and Rural Development 2014-2020 . Sharing the award was made on Monday in Brussels , which was attended by officials of the Ministry of Agriculture , the European Parliament who presented the developments and achievements in the agricultural sector .
Managing Director of the Authority in the Ministry of Agriculture , Forestry and Rural Development ( MAFRD ) , Albanian Bulls , shows that to improve policy and program implementation as well , have established new structures in accordance with EU requirements , such as authority management in the Department of Rural Development Policy , Agency for Agricultural Development and Monitoring Committee .
" Agriculture and rural development are areas of policy priority in the Government 's strategy , while the Ministry of Agriculture is drafting Programme for Agriculture and Rural Development for 2014-2020 , with particular emphasis on knowledge transfer and innovation in agriculture , forestry and rural development . Also , we have great focus on increasing the competitiveness of agricultural holdings and organization of the food chain , then storing valuable ecosystems and efficient use of resources and a lot of work is being done to promote social inclusion , alleviating poverty and economic development of rural areas in Kosovo, "said Demas .
